Claim Guidance
What to Do Immediately After a Vehicle Accident
A practical accident checklist covering safety, photographs, claim intimation, documents and repairs.
First prioritise personal safety. Seek medical assistance where required and move to a safe location when it is legally and practically possible to do so.
Take clear photographs and videos of the vehicles, damage, registration numbers, road position and surrounding area. Note the date, time, location and third-party details.
Inform the insurer or claim support team promptly. Keep the policy copy, RC, driving licence and incident details ready. Police reporting may be necessary for theft, injury, major accidents or third-party matters.
Avoid starting major repairs before the required survey or approval. Follow the insurer's instructions regarding towing, inspection, network garage selection and document submission.
